Bible-times
Sites
Everyone
will step back into Bible times as they begin Jonah:
An Overboard Adventure! and discover how to walk
in God's ways. The journey begins in Joppa, a festive marketplace
where the Opening Assembly is held. They'll laugh with Bob
and Larry, hear fun skits, and sing great songs before they
travel to five different Bible-time sites.
Belly
of the Fish: Jonah got swallowed and spit up by a big
fish! Kids will experience what it might have been like
to spend three days in the fish's belly as they learn about
admitting wrong and the importance of prayer.
Palace
of Nineveh: God wanted Jonah to go to Nineveh and preach
his Word. But Jonah didn't want to go! Kids will visit the
king's palace to learn about mercy and sharing God's love.
Harbor
Light: Kids will learn how large fires were kept ablaze
so that ships would not crash into rocky shores, while they
learn how to be God's light in today's world. At the Harbor
Light site, kids will learn about compassion and servanthood.
Crossroads:
Jonah had many crossroad decisions to make, and he journeyed
in several different directions. Kids are faced with decisions
every day, just like Jonah. At this site, they'll learn
how to be courageous with God's help and how to walk with
God even when angry.
Captain's
Quarters on a Boat: When God called Jonah to go to Nineveh,
he responded by boarding a ship and sailing in the opposite
direction! Kids will enjoy a little sea travel of their
own as they learn about trusting and obeying God and how
to praise him.
